I have camped out on island BC47 before, its a nice place with sheltered cover for tents, a long beach area and various trails.we had a great time.
I Was out and also suprised that no one was out. I went to bird island at 3 and 2 boats were there
Its noon on saturday and so far the waters have been extreemly quete boating wise. where is everyone ?

I used to to an Island on the Indian river just past the causeway by Titusville.

Peter, Sorry for the wise guy reply, however we now have a learning opportunity. I just took this location from the NOAA NDBC (National Data Buoy Center) weather buoy 20 miles from the Cape

It wasn't a math problem. I just didn't realize the coordinates given were in decimals. Not used to seeing them that way. You learn something new every day. I was just trying to help. Next time I'll refrain.
Some one did not do so good in math class. If you look at Google earth the coordinates are in degrees and DECIMALS of a degree. This island is south of Grant Farm Island on the east side of the ICW. For the detail and math challenged, multiply .9094…

Those are bad GPS numbers. 27.9N doesn't exist. GPS coordinates rollover to the next number at .60 so from 27.59.59N then 28.00N. Your West coordinates put you somewhere way west. Not much water around. Just a lot of cows.

We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.
Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…
