HI Rich, We are 1.8 miles north of the Pineda Causeway… Next to Rotary Park, they have the blue awning covered Dock.. I think the mile marker # is in the low 90’s but I am not sure of the exact one. You can park your boat at the dock, and either eat at the Tiki Bar, on the Patio or in the Restaurant.
Florida Today has article this AM that Squid Lips is moving to the old Conchy Joes place at Eau Gallie and Pineapple--opening day is to be Feb 28--HOORAH--finally something good down this way.
The new place that took over Red Fish Inn is called OFG (Old Florida Grill) Much better than the old restraunt. The water is very shallow at the dock now. Need rain, lots. I seem to recall channel marker 59 as the entry point. It is just about a mile south of the PSJ power plant.
Was told that SQUID LIPS has opened at the old Conchy Joe's next to the Eau Gallie Causeway. The new docks at the library look like easy way to get in there and have a few Long Islands and some good food, Water is shallow along river but I'm gonna check it out this weekend.
There are a few places to eat and drink on river. The Oyster House in PSJ but VERY shallow. We have a 2ft draft and can get in. Cocoa Village is great to eat! Conch Key, again hard to get in, shallow, but we dock at sailboat and walk over it. The owners told us to do that! Katana's is great. Ichabods, at the 192 causeway, by the Chart House. And now, Squid lips, which is the old concy joes at Eau Gallie bridge. If you are looking for Banana River, Sunset Cafe, but have to dock in front of Condos. Also, Bunky's across 520. And yes, Harbortown. Just not much entertainment there. We go bar hopping sometimes and that is fun!!
The channel marker number is 94. Handy to know if traveling at dark. We stop ofter but the water is very shallow. If you can't float in 1 1/2 foot of water you may need to tie up to the sailboat that is stuck at the dock and walk over it. Great fun.
Squid lips is great. Park at the library docks. Hide you beer when you walk the docks. No alcohol allowed on the dock. If you have a small boat the docks at squid lips will still work.
We are very excited to introduce that the New Directories section that is now available. It lists all Boatable Restaurants/Bars, Marinas, and Boat Ramps. It also allows you to Comment/Review/Discuss each one and vote for the ones you like! Click here or look for "Directories" in the upper navigation.
I have some fresh water boating friends in Orlando.I will pass your original post to them. In case they left the local area. Which is probably the case. Others should do the same, maybe we can cover the state at least.
good luck,
Rob
We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.
Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…

Henry,
Saw your boat heading in at the port Wednesday. We had been out to 8A and points north of there, not a lot of luck, Cuda and sharks. Was looking to see how you did Wednesday for comparison, I hope your report doesnt depress me too much.
