The docks at Sunset Cafe are, now, re-opened.

There is a small dock behind Rusty's (on 520) which can be used to visit Sunrise Diner for breakfast too!

The Lobster Shanty has a large dock but it needs access work. There's only one ladder at the end and their dock is tall. BYOL (Bring Your Own Ladder)

The River Roost (formerly Cactus Flower) has nice docks and a new Tiki Bar. Very boater-friendly There's even a 7-11 next door for those last-minute supplies. Try the Ceviche !

Where is the River Roost and is it close to the Port??
River Roost is about 3.5 nautical miles from the port. It is on the other side of the river from Sunset Cafe by the foot of the 520 bridge... Approximately 28.357209, -80.660720.
all this nautical longitudial talk, you talk as if I am a real captain or have some kind of fancy boat. You must remember I am barely 1 year into this whole boating life and all I have is a little sea doo boat with no electrical equipment that could ever steer me anywhere near 28.35yadda yadda and whatever. But I think I do know where you are talking about, it is on the east side of the river right where the bridge ends on the southern side of the 520 bridge. Is that correct??
I hear ya... yes.. south side, but it is the west side of the river.. From the locks you go under the 520 bridge, then you turn right. If you turn left you go to Sunset.

I have some fresh water boating friends in Orlando.I will pass your original post to them. In case they left the local area. Which is probably the case. Others should do the same, maybe we can cover the state at least. good luck, Rob

We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.

Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…

Henry, Saw your boat heading in at the port Wednesday. We had been out to 8A and points north of there, not a lot of luck, Cuda and sharks. Was looking to see how you did Wednesday for comparison, I hope your report doesnt depress me too much. Tim
