Many Fishing organizations are involved in this potentially catastrophic plan to shut down most fishing in our
waters. One of the local, and oldest is the Florida Sport Fishing Association (FSFA). The link below is a link
to some recent information reguarding the MSA (Magneson Stevens ACT).

Here is that link: (copy entire link, and paste to browser)

What is really interesting is that the FSFA has nearly 40 years of its own data from club records and catch reports about the Red Snapper populations from Brevard and Volusia waters, and its no surprise that the recent years have actually shown marked increases in stock numbers and size!

The FSFA club website if you prefer to go to it rather than copying the links is: www.FSFAClub.org

If you look at the bottom of the link page you will see that the FSFA supports this Petition. It is extremely important that we get everyone to sign. Henry you are right. I think it was Dave Werner that shared the data with the SAFMC and it fell on deaf ears. Magneson Stevens needs to be repealed. I apears that closing snapper is just the tip of this iceberg. We need to make the government understand that we are for conservation but through the use of good science. The businesses around the port will be blanketed with manual petitions in hopes to gain as manny supporters as we can.

Don,
Thanks for posting this up I just found this link on facebook.

All please send the link to everyone you know and ask them to sign it. We are headed to Washington DC In 5 days and would like to have 20 K signatures last count was 5K on line and still counting actual signatures on paper. If we do not get mad now and make a statement all fishing is at risk. Snapper and Grouper are just the begining.
Think about it Our two most popular fish in Central Florida the first to go. Take dolphin and wahoo and whats left.

We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.

Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…
