Would be a great feature if the website had a list and GPS location of all the restaurants along the Brevard section of the Indian River that are dockable.
Capt. Hirams is always good. Somehow we need to include GPS coordinates to be able to locate every restaurant that gets listed. Not sure how to get that without going to each and marking locations.
The old Conchy Joe's is now open as Squid Lips. They have added a nice sand beach with chairs serviced by the waitresses. The water is deep enough on the outside slips but a little shallow on the interior slips. It is located right next to (just South of) the new Eau Gallie public dock located behind the library. Be careful using the dock @ Squid Lips as there are a few loose boards but not a problem if you pay attention.
Ichabod’s Dockside – 28 04 40.46 N – 80 36 02.84 W – Within Melbourne Harbor Marina. Great dockage and fuel. There is a $5.00 fee to dock. Use the receipt to get $5.00 off your bill. You can also dock here and walk to the many restaurants in Downtown Melbourne.
Squid Lips (Melbourne) – 28 07 53.60 N - 80 37 18.89 W - North West side of Eau Gallie Causeway – Their dock has a lot to be desired. Use the public library dock just north. They have five slips – You can also beach you boat.
Bonefish Willy’s – 28 08 20.12 N - 80 37 32.97 W - They are building a new dock. Hopefully it will be done soon.
Captain Katanas – 28 10 36.24 N – 80 38 51.70 W – Great dock with 8+ slips and deep water.
Conch Key Inn – 28 13 39.82 N – 80 40 15.46 W – Dock is shallow and there is a sailboat stuck. You could anchor and wade in.
River Rocks (Old Chowders) – 28 13 52.65 N – 80 40 21.35 W– Virtually no dock rumors of a new dock coming soon. Shallow entry.
Yellow Dog Café – 28 00 43.28 N – 80 33 56.97 W – I haven’t been here by boat. But, they do have a new dock.
Indian River County
Squid Lips (Sebastian) – 27 49 31.21 N – 80 28 24.04 W
Captain Hirams – 27 49 25.55 N – 80 28 12.39 N – Good dockage. There is also a sandy area to beach boats.
I have some fresh water boating friends in Orlando.I will pass your original post to them. In case they left the local area. Which is probably the case. Others should do the same, maybe we can cover the state at least.
good luck,
Rob
We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.
Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…

Henry,
Saw your boat heading in at the port Wednesday. We had been out to 8A and points north of there, not a lot of luck, Cuda and sharks. Was looking to see how you did Wednesday for comparison, I hope your report doesnt depress me too much.
