Looking for other boats to join us on a Bahamas trip from Palm Beach to West End and Port Lucaya during Memorial Day weekend. If interested please reply.
Jon,
My wife is the greatest firstmate. She backs our rig down the ramp to launch and retrieve our 28' Larson Express Cruiser. Works the winless, ground tackle, and sets our anchor for the night. Secures us safely at any dock. But the Captain.......thats me, calls all the shots. Jon you speak the truth. I hope my wife doesn't read this.....Hah-Hah
Is anyone interested in going to Bahamas next week - 4/29/ to 4/4/2010 - this will be my first - fl to Bahamas looking for another boater with experience or i would like to hire a captain for the week end -
Is there anyone planning to go that would like to return on Saturday.
I would love to go but need to come back saturday and dont want to cross alone.
Thanks
jk
Rick,
It's cheaper to book a commercial flight if you just want to get to the Bahamas.
The cost of keeping your boat in ocean crossing condition is expensive. BOAT-Break Out Another Thousand.
A self guided trip on your own vessel..........priceless.
Hope this helps
DJ,
We are planning on leaving Palm Beach Inlet at first light of day this Saturday heading for West End and Port Lucaya, returning to Palm Beach Tuesday morning. We will be spending Friday afternoon/night on our mooring ball just off Peanut Island. If interested in crossing with us hail the Kathleen Marie on Ch 16.
Sounds like a great time, Steve. We're making last minute preparations & hope to get together with you all for this journey.. BTW, I live on Singer Island so, hopefully, we'll see you guys tonight!
I have some fresh water boating friends in Orlando.I will pass your original post to them. In case they left the local area. Which is probably the case. Others should do the same, maybe we can cover the state at least.
good luck,
Rob
We haven't heard anything. Please keep an eye out, but the chances of getting the boat back don't look good. I hear that there have been a lot of problems at Lee Wenner with theft, so everyone be careful if you put in or dock there.
Plastic tank. Fiberglass would deteriorate and I believe that aluminum oxidizes. Not iron oxide rust but oxidation nonetheless. Boats made after 1994 are supposed to have ethanol compatible gas tanks. Do you agree? Do you replace the water separatio…

Henry,
Saw your boat heading in at the port Wednesday. We had been out to 8A and points north of there, not a lot of luck, Cuda and sharks. Was looking to see how you did Wednesday for comparison, I hope your report doesnt depress me too much.
